Step 1
Follow all recommended vehicle safety instructions when installing, tightening and repairing tire chains.
Step 2
Lay chains out flat and remove any tangles.
Step 3
Drape chain over top of tire with the Side Chain Fastener on the outside of the tire. Center the chain across the tread face with equal amounts of rim chain on each tire sidewall.
Step 4
Tuck the first Cross Chain under tire. Move vehicle until second Cross Chain has passed under tire.
Step 5
Attach inside Qucik Hook then attach Side Chian Fastener on the outside of tire.
Step 6
Make sure the chain is centered on the tire and as tight as possible. Adjustments to either fastener may be required.
Step 7
If using CAM style type chain, tighten CAMS with T-handle.
Step 8
Drive vehicle approximately 1/4 mile, stop and retighten tire chains.
Step 9
Chains should be periodically checked for tightness and retightened as necessary. If a break occurs, stop immediately and repair broken chain.
